A Singaporean college student has died after “vicious” stabbing on the Singapore’s streets, police said on Wednesday.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The 19-year-old victim, who was in Singapore on a tourist visa, was stabbed at about 10:00pm on Wednesday in front of his parents’ home, Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman Supt.
T.W. Chang said.
He did not specify what kind of knife the victim had.
Police said they were still investigating the attack and are looking for witnesses.
Singapore has experienced a spike in knife-related violence since President Joko Widodo took office in June last year.
In April, a 23-year old student at an engineering college in the city of Tainan died after a knife was found in his backpack.
He was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries two days later.
